2024 Career Fair
Bridging Opportunities and Building Futures
We are excited to share the success of our 2024 Career Fair, an event dedicated to bridging career opportunities for our community members. On Friday, April 26, 2024, we hosted a significant Career Fair. It was a day filled with promise, growth, and community spirit.
Highlights
Community Support: We were honoured to see over 100 local community members in attendance, including those from the Chard Métis Nation and Chipewyan Prairie First Nation.
Skills Development and Training: Tailored workshops addressed essential career skills such as resume writing, interview techniques, and digital literacy, equipping participants with the tools needed for success. Participants were offered access to an online training portal valued at over $500, providing eLearning courses that align with high school credits.
External Partners and Community Engagement: We were thrilled to have the involvement of 15 business partners, local industry representatives, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations. An informal networking opportunity was created during the community meal, fostering connections and a sense of community among attendees.
This event would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our staff and volunteers. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the community members, partners, and participants for their enthusiasm and support.
Thank you all for making this Career Fair a memorable and impactful event. We look forward to more shared successes and continued collaboration in the future.
